Recently I joined many Kiwis in watching the National Memorial Service in Christchurch attended by 100,000 Cantabrians. It was a chance to remember the people we've lost, to express our grief and sorrow, and to re-affirm our commitment to the city of Christchurch.

Last week I donated blood on World Blood Donor Day. The theme ‘New Blood For Life’ was to encourage those aged from 18-30 years old to give blood, as the future of the donor service.
