There is a ‘goal between the post’ for four local tourism agencies who applied for government allocated lottery ‘festival funding’ to help promote Marlborough to the world during the months of September/October.

There is a ‘goal between the post’ for four local tourism agencies who applied for government allocated lottery ‘festival funding’ to help promote Marlborough to the world during the months of September/October.
The successful applicants where The New Zealand Aviation Museum Trust, Festival Events Trust –Marlborough4fun, Marlborough Winegrowers, and Top of the South Events Ltd.
A total of $140,000 was allocated to these organisations to back up their efforts.
At the informal celebration for this local success Colin said that he hoped that all Marlbarian’s would be enthused to get behind such events and the region for the Rugby World Cup. He went on to acknowledge the work and commitment of those present.

He also talks about the divide betwen the way "city people" and members of the rural community think about water and goes on to discuss the impending visits of Defence Minister Dr Wayne Mapp and Broadcasting Minister Dr Jonathan Coleman to the electorate.
